Browster

I read in an August issue of Red Herring some noise about Browster, a plug-in which claims it's the fastest way to surf the internet (no matter that loading their corporate site took four minutes on my machine).

The schtick is that rolling over a URL will allow you to see a screen shot. From the Red Herring article:

The plug-in reduces the need to click by showing a preview window with search results when users move their cursor over a link.

Umm, great, but, umm, doesn't Ask.com already do that? (Roll over the binox graphic.)

Ugh. If only I had the cojones to go out there and get in the fray myself. Until then, I will have to content myself with whining about everyone else :)

There's also http://www.cooliris.com/

Personally I don't see what the big deal is and I don't understand how entire companies are being built around this lazy-bastard "innovation".
